Pastor Jamar is an Illinois native, raised in Georgia. He was born and raised In the COGIC Church. He's had three mentors that cultivated him and poured into him and challenged him to be who he is today. God called him into ministry at an early age. Most would say it started when he began preaching at age 19, but he'd say he was called so much earlier. Pastor Jamar has always been different and hip hop has been a big part of his life. Hip hop was his first ministry. CHH is how he originally found his place in the church. and he eventually graduated to the pulpit.

 

Pastor Jamar met Lady Tysheena in 2008. Lady Tysheena is an Atlanta Native raised in the Baptist Church. Growing up she attended Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church. Lady Tysheena is a Mother, a First Lady, entrepreneur, fashion icon, and a wife. She comes from a family of praying women, and she continues the call placed on her family's life. 

 

The two developed a friendship that blossomed into a relationship in late 2009. After three years of knowing one another, the two decided that they could not live without one another and married in his mother and father's living room. They have four beautiful children who work tirelessly to navigate spirituality, family, ministry and work.

 

God called them to ministry in 2019 and told Pastor Jamar that June 2020 he should start Prodigal Church God did not warn them about a pandemic, but he did expect them to be obedient and so here we are, walking in obedience. The Prodigal Church.
